Established in 1821 and based upon the French tricolor, the flag of Mexico consists of three equally sized vertical stripes: a single white stripe representing religion, flanked by a green stripe on the left symbolizing hope, and a red one on the right representing unity. Added when the flag was officially adopted in 1968 is the current Mexican national coat of arms, centered in the single white stripe. A little thin, but that should not affect enjoyability of the flag! I bought it to hang in my room, so it will not see outside use. It is not as sturdy as other sewn nylon flags, but that doesnt matter if you plan on using indoors.
